CAFÉ COMMERCE HAS BEEN REBRANDED TOLAUNCH SA
SAN ANTONIO (Nov.18, 2016)— Mayor Ivy Taylor, alongside representatives from the City of San Antonio and LiftFund,announced that Café Commerce, the city’s small business and entrepreneurship resource center,will now operate under a new brand — Launch SA.
Local Ad Agency, MarketVision, helped to develop the LaunchSA brand, which reflects a new era of growth and economic development in San Antonio, and echoes the center’s capacity to launch entrepreneur’s new ideas and the growth of existing small businesses.Heavy Heavy, a localweb designing company, has built the new websiteplacing emphasis on the specialized programs Launch SA has developed over the past two years.
“Over the past two years, Café Commerce has helped local entrepreneurs turn their business ideas into action, but we want to reach more people,” said Mayor Ivy R. Taylor. “Changing the name and brand to Launch SA better describes exactly what the organization is about and the impact it’s having – launching businesses, careers and jobs.”
Located in San Antonio’s Central Library, Launch SA allows traditional and non-traditional entrepreneurs and small business owners to collaborate, support and navigate new entrepreneurial paths, or take their business to the next level.
San Antonio was recently named the tenth best performing city in the nation for entrepreneurial growth, especially for small businesses. Launch SA provides these small businesses with unique educational programs and networking opportunities, with the majority of the programs at no cost.
“Our new name, Launch SA, fulfills our new vision, to fuel and support new and existing businesses on their path to success,” said Nadia Auch, President of Launch SA. “Our programs are customized to support individuals from any industry, any stage. As we look to the future, we will continue to integrate themes of social enterprise and sustainability, which are the keys to lasting, positive change in San Antonio.”
Entrepreneurs can find mentorship opportunities through Launch SA. Established mentors like Jody Newman, ownerof The Friendly Spot and Launch SA Board Member,share their real world experiences and helpful resources with entrepreneurs.
