 WHAT:            Official opening of “Wings of the City” exhibition by famed Mexican artist Jorge Marín at the Botanical Garden.

 MORE:    Famed Mexican artist Jorge Marín will showcase eight monumental sculptures at the San Antonio Botanical Garden until February 2016, while one additional sculpture will be on display at the Southwest School of Art.

After touring Mexico for three years, “Wings of the City” has been in the U.S. since 2013, with appearances in Brownsville, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and now San Antonio.

The exhibition is presented by the Mexican Consulate in San Antonio in partnership with the Mexican Agency for International Development, the San Antonio Mexico Friendship Council, the City of San Antonio, the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM or Mexican Entrepreneurs Association), the San Antonio Botanical Garden, Aeroméxico, Northwestern Mutual, the Southwest School of Art, the Herrera Law Firm, and Hotel Emma.

The opening reception will start at 5:30 p.m., on September 9at the San Antonio Botanical Garden and is free and open to the public.
