City of San Antonio Invites Firms to Participate in Bonding Assistance and Mentor Protégé Programs

Securing adequate bonding is one of the greatest barriers small businesses face when seeking government contracts. To help overcome this, the City of San Antonio has developed the Bonding Assistance Program to provide small businesses instruction on how to repair their credit in order to become bondable thereby increasing their potential of being awarded City contracts.

Furthermore, the city has developed The Mentor-Protégé Program in order to provide guidance and advice to qualifying businesses in critical areas such as administration, organizational and operations management to make them more competitive and viable in today’s economic climate. As part of these programs, participants will partake in the Small Business Boot Camp which provides capacity building classes. All participants receive three (3) hours of free business counseling!
